Penvose started at Holy Trinity on Monday, February 21, 2011.  Pastor Penvose graduated from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, PA, and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, PA.  He was ordained on June 4, 1978 at Thiel College during the Western PA-W. Virginia Synod Assembly gathering.

He has served as pastor of West Sunbury Lutheran Parish in West Sunbury, PA and St. Mark's Lutheran Church in New Stanton, PA.  Pastor served as Assistant to the Bishop of the Northwestern PA Synod from 1988 to 1996.         In speaking about what attracted him to our parish, he felt our Mission Statement was a strong expression of our beliefs and goals that echoed his convictions.   Some areas in our joint profiles that matched, in which he could provide leadership as we worked together included:  preaching and worship leadership that adheres to the confessional base of Lutheran liturgy while remaining open to the consideration of variety in worship; pastoral care and visitatio
